Meeting Dates: Held the third Wednesday of every month.

  • Meeting Time: 6:00 p.m.
  • Hybrid Meetings: Some SLT members attend the meeting in person while others engage in the meeting virtually.
  • SLT meetings are considered public meetings open for the public to attend and the meeting minutes must be posted for the public to access

Member Requirements, Roles, Responsibilities

  • Required Members: Principal, chapter leader (UFT), and Parents Association (PTA) president must serve on the committee.
  • SLTs must include other parents and staff (pedagogic and/or non-pedagogic) from the school.
  • SLTs may also include representatives of Community Based
  • Organizations (CBOs).
  • An SLT should have a minimum of 10 members, and a maximum of 17 members.

Our Purpose & Goals

Examine and develop the Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP) for C.S. 262 as a team (parents, staff, and administrators)

  • Provide ongoing evaluations of a school’s educational programs (ELA,
  • Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies) and their impact on student achievement.
  • The members of the SLT engage in discussions about school-based decisions and how those decisions would benefit all of the students.
  • SLTs engage in consensus-based decision making.
